Hello Guys. Today I am going to show you how can you "Stop Windows Update" in any computer. In computers there are many functions that we don’t know about them. How these function’s works? We don’t know about them. In my blog I will try my best to give you the solutions of many problems in computer those I have faced. Hope you guys will be benefited by applying the tricks from my blog. So Now Let’s see how to stop windows update in Computer.

If you are using a Wi-Fi connection you don’t have to stop Windows automatic update service to get latest features for your computer or Laptop. But if you are not using a Wi-Fi connection, using modem or mobile hotspot, you have to do that to save your data.

Steps:

Ø  At first click on the start button and search Windows Update Settings and see ,"Is your windows taking automatic updates?? or not".

Ø  After that if you see the result like the picture bellow, than there is no problem. It means your Windows Update Is already disabled. 

Ø  But if you are not getting any thinks like this it means your automatic Windows update is running. In that case if you want to stop that you have to do some settings.

v  Now open your computers Control panel and you will find many options where you can change any settings.

• And Click on the Administrative Tools. 

v  After Clicking on the Administrative Tools, a new window will automatically appear. 

•                           In the new window, check where Services is.

• After you got the services option, double click on it or open it.

v  After opening on services, another new window will open. 

v  In that new window, scroll down to the last and find where Windows Update is.

v  After getting the option, double click on it or open it.

v  After opening that option you will get a window like this:

v  I have already disables my windows automatic update service. That’s why my options are not useable. But your options are useable. 

v  Now click on the right side of Startup type.

v  You will find 4 different options. Like :

·         Automatic (Delayed start)

·         Automatic

·         Manual

·         Disabled

v  Now we want to stop our windows automatic update. In that case we have to choose the Disabled option. Just click on the Disabled option from the dropdown menu.

v  Then Click Stop.

v  After that click on the Apply option and all Done.

You have successfully stopped windows automatic update. Congratulations.
